Happy birthday, kiddo.

If had been keeping up with my reading/blogging, I'd have wished ye sooner.

Disneyland is coming up in Sept....

Can I buy you a drink at the Uva bar.

Or maybe The House of Blues?

Yes, practicality, yes. I know. It's my editing skills that need some improvement (no big surprise, I've never done them professionally), but I was told that I should be proud to have made as far as I did because there were over 200 applicants.

Besides, writing about practical things isn't as much fun as the esoteric, c'mon ... :P

There should always be a learning from negative situations and not necessarily on some esoteric level. Be practical. Why didn't you get the job? I would suggest you contact them and ask why. Here's the script," I was so excited about the possibility of working at this publication and thought I could bring a lot ot this position. Where do I need improvement?"

You might get the standard response: your resume was great but we found someone with more experience or they might tell you something that you can indeed improve upon. Who knows?

My two cents. Happy belated birthday, nice hair.
