A Note From the Editor
This is the blog of Sandra Vahtel. I don’t write in it as much as I used to.
I’m from Oregon, although technically that’s not true. I was born in New Jersey but moved to Oregon when I was two, so it counts as home. After a brief time in Dallas, I move to Los Angeles in 2002 to pursue a career in pictures, just like everybody else. But I went back to school instead, and in 2009 I earned a master’s degree in professional writing from USC.
If you search through my archive, you might notice that a lot of older posts have been deleted. Some because the photo links are dead, some because what I wrote then feels so insufferably boring, trite and/or embarrassing to me now. Some people disagree with this methodology, but I say it’s my blog and I’ll do what I want.
Though, after eight years of blogging, I will say this: a lot of changes occur in one’s life over a period of time—though comfortingly, or perhaps troublingly—a lot seems to stay the same, year-in, year-out.
